"Bulldawgs"
1959
The patch has a bulldog emblazoned in the foreground of a sky
blue circle outlined in black. A lightning bolt shoots across
the sky behind the silver bulldog, outlined in black and wearing
a spiked collar. On a white scroll at the bottom of the patch is
written "13th SQ AFCW."
The bulldog represents the full circle of qualities that make
up an Air Force officer. It epitomizes the moral resolve and
dogged pursuit of duty typical to the cadets of the 13th
Squadron. The lightning bolt demonstrates the courage and
dedication that characterizes all bulldog graduates.
This is the original squadron patch. Early versions of this
patch may have a darker blue background. Another possibility is
a lighter blue background with a brown bulldog.

"Education
is an ornament in prosperity and a refuge in adversity"
- Aristotle
A
couple of issues ago, I was chastised for not sending in a
picture of my fellow classmates from the Airlift Tanker
Association convention in October of 04. I finally found the
picture and have attached it to the e-mail. In the photo are
Joe Roth, Jaime Dermer, Jim Simmons, myself, and my husband Kyle
(class of 90). The latest info I have is that Joe has gone to
Germany to be on the EUCOM staff. Jaime Dermer is now a student
in the Advanced Study of Air Mobility at Ft Dix NJ (this is the
class Joe, Kyle and I just graduated from). |

Here's a picture of me and my husband Kyle (class of 90) while
we were in Saudi last May. We were going out for a big night on
the town for his birthday (dinner at the Desert Diamond Chinese
restaurant followed by coffee at Green Beans). Take care and
Thanks! Jean (Fulmer)

Kyle and I
are getting ready to depart for the Pentagon. I’m going to
work in strategic plans for the Air National Guard, and Kyle
is going to be the chief of Academy Affairs in headquarters
personnel. I have no real idea what I’m going to be doing,
but Kyle’s job deals with events occurring at USAFA. The
main thing holding up our departure is the fact that I’m
still on maternity leave. Our 2nd son, David,
was born on 8 July. We are all doing very well, but it is a
little difficult for us all to adjust to having an infant
around. I’ve included a picture of the family (myself,
Kyle, David and our oldest son Matthew).
